Dinner tonight
« on: March 26, 2015, 09:44 PM »
Here are some photos of my dinner tonight. Chicken tikka dhansak with pilau rice. Very nice indeed. The Mrs had her usual Korma, but she'd eaten it before I could take a picture.

Lovely looking curry SR.....the texture looks amazing. Not that I've ever made a Dhansak but I really fancy trying it. What recipe did you use?

Also liking the Geordie lassi in the background (not lassie Gav, don't get excited) :)

Looks very nice SR. Could murder a curry right at this minute. In fact I could murder that one.

@ Garp.. surely you mean scottish lassi as it looks like a pint of tennents. We would have that cheeky little number portrayed in Viz's finest ... The Brown Bottle

Haha - never seen that before, Gav. Mrs G was looking kinda funny at me as I was trying to read the speech bubbles in a Geordie accent :)

Anyway, Tennents has a more frothy head...that looks more like Carling or something. Please put us out of our misery, SR, your curry is beautiful, but what is the beer? :)

Glad to see we've got our priorities right guys  ::) Beautiful looking curry.  I take it you were using your own recipe as posted.  I had to make do with chicken in black bean sauce, crispy noodles with vegetables and spinach with garlic.  All washed down with  a few Leffes whils i was in China Town tonight.  It's a hard life  :(  ;D ;D

Hi Garp. I used my own recipe found here http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,13673.0.html with slight changes. I tried 0.25 tsp of garlic powder in with the rest of the spices, I used tikka instead of normal chicken and 2 TBS of pineapple juice as opposed to 2 tsp. I don't know how you guessed, but it is Carling.

Yeah, the wife had a day working in London so she was pretty hungry, I was busy cooking the Dhansak. Time I had finished that the Korma had disappeared.
