Title: Dairy Free Naan ?
Post by: chumley on November 18, 2014, 08:58 PM
Hi

I was wondering whether anyone has access to a good dairy free naan recipe.

Would really appreciate any type of help.

Many cheers.

I've found some at Mullaco. They're handmade by the clay oven bakery. I know they're not homemade, but I pass by Mullaco once every two weeks, so I could nip in and stock up. It's an interesting question. I may soon be entertaining a guest with an egg allergy and was wondering if h4ppy naans still worked minus the egg inclusion. Has anybody tried?

I tried the ones in the link. They were very thin (need more dough) and pancakey in taste. They weren't bad but definitely not your BIR naan. They are promising though. A little playing about and they could be better :) http://www.peta.org/living/food/homemade-vegan-naan/ (http://www.peta.org/living/food/homemade-vegan-naan/)

If you can use soy milk, and eggs, try H4ppy Chris recipe and method :)
