thought a picture view of a day in the life of the home BIR fan might help new starters and hopefully get other members to add insight into what they do differently.
if you've not realized already the prep for BIR is quite something. once done the cooking (of many dishes) is a breeze.
took a few pics on my last journey. main emphasis for me is on doing the same each time to ensure consistency. if i change anything then it's only 1 change at a time.
day1 - marinating

day2 - make base, bunjarra

You're very organised Jerry. May I ask what the banana is for ?
-
Possibly?

I've made that dish a few times minus the banana..delicious. :P

A simple banana and coconut sambol is a delicious accompaniment to a curry night.
I had a big prep day on Wednesday for Curries on Thursday too JM. I took some pics but haven't had time to download from my phone, resize and post yet. Base, precooked chicken, lamb and vegies.
Turned some of it into a RJ, C Madras and Navratan which I also served with Creamy Coconut Chicken, a C Korma, C 65, Onion Bhaji's and H4ppy Chris Naan. Still plenty left for another day.

I'm not averse to any ingredient in a BIR curry... I'm sure I can fit a banana in somewhere. ooh err.
-
Great photos Jerry. Is that one piece of tikka in the middle there?
-
I think Jerry was preparing for a dinner party with one Bulemic attending ;)
-
Banana was yes for Kashmiri - good ladies fav.
The tikka was 1 kg of breast each cut in half longways. I then skewer and gas BBQ.
The other dishes for rest of family - chewytikka CTM, butter chicken and curryhells Elaichi. Done 2 cook nights so far (8 dish) with last 4 to go on Thursday.
A monthly bash.

Good job Jerry. You are brave using an outside bbq in the cold weather.
-
Jerry you need to open a cafe or restaurant
I really think it's the next step for you
You could work out all those nagging details, that can only be solved by practice on a large scale
I bet your place would be really good, too
If it was within 100 miles, I'd even come and buy a curry
