Title: Curry Cooking Weekend
Post by: Stephen Lindsay on March 30, 2018, 10:47 PM
A couple of times a year I take a batch of curries though to my pal's in Edinburgh and we have a bit of a  curry feast. My partner and my pal's wife are vegetarian so I always do a some non-meat curries as well. This gives me a chance to cook some recipes that wouldn't always be my fist choice but I do enjoy them too. Indian vegetarian cuisine of course well established, though my repertoire is somewhat limited.

Today I have made all these curries to take through tomorrow evening. Here are my efforts from  today - 8 curries in all. Each photo shows a general shot and a close up. Hope you like them!

SL, Free food, good company, Ideal curry night! ;) :D
Pics look good, Chasni had to be in there, the Scottish staple
and not too much food colouring as their usually radioactive red.

Your Chana Masala would go down well here, in fact inspired
Ill have to knock a couple up later.

cheers Chewy

what's the recipe for Brinjal Bhaji?

Haldi - here you are - I've got a feeling this might be adapted from a recipe by Curryhell but I can't remember.

Brinjal Bhaji

Ingredients:

5 tbsp oil
1 tsp panch phoran
1 medium onion finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic sliced
1 tsp garlic ginger paste
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves

Took a while to get round to the aubergine recipe, but so glad I did. Really excellent. Sorry about the rubbish picture. I used basaar curry powder and the amazing Undercover Curry base gravy. Really fantastic and will be making again
