I've been recording anything which sounds like the kind of Indian music played at Indian restaurants for several years now. But nothing like the dross posted by Garp.

I have no idea if y'all can access Pandora, but they have an "Indian Classical" collection which seems to be the twang-y background music played in a lot of Indian restaurants....

After spending several hours sampling various Indian albums on tidal, my guess is that songs from Indian films are probably used as background music by many middle-of-the road curry houses, whilst Indian classical music is more likely to be heard in fine-dining type places,.
