talk about anything other than curry / Re: Linux. Gotta love it!

I dual boot between Linux Mint Cinnamon which is my default and Windows 7 for the rather crap ITunes which I still use for my old iPod etc. As mentioned Libre Office is damn close to MS office and you can save files in the MS format in most cases. Linux is just slicker and virus safe etc. There are times when you need to use the Terminal and a bit of coding but there’s a wealth of guides on the web.

Anyone like the recipe as I do?

Ed

I've not tried the recipe ed, but I'd say as good as it tastes , is not BIR, its not how the restaurants& ta  prepare & cook your tikka/tandoori chicken

ELW

I know unfortunately, take Dips for instance where the only difference between tandoori and tikka is the food colouring! There are a few BIR's and TA's that do them differently which is the taste I'm after at home without the benefit of a tandoor etc and I find this one great, although I burn mine with the grill a bit!

If you like Blades tikka you’ll love this tandoori! It’s not just another tikka recipe with different colourings, it has no pastes and it tastes great! Potent and full of flavour and the best one I’ve tried!!! Finish with lemon and chaat masala! deelish!!!

Hi Guys/Gals I am thinking of doing a bulk curry 50 portions, and I've decided to do a staff curry and am fine with this but I am not sure about bulk rice and it hanging about etc. Therefore i'm thinking of serving the curry with some dhal and parathas and leaving the rice out? Probably do bhajis as well. Would you miss the rice??

Cheers

I’ve never had a paratha before but looked at loads of recipes so know what they are. Anyway I bought some Shana frozen parathas the other day to have with a staff curry and was well impressed! Put frozen into a dry pan and flip every 30 secs and lightly press in the middle till they puff up. They were great, flaky, soft, less filling than naans, and nice well done bits and soo quick. Definitely on my next shopping list!
