There's a recipe for the sauce on Panpot's Ashoka threads but I'm not sure how that sauce is made into a curry.

If you google 'south indian garlic chicken' the first result is from the 'other forum' (Booo!) and might be what you're looking for. Tell us how it turns out if you try it please.

i'm not sure if this is the same as what i have in my mind as i only know a dish called garlic chicken which is not garlic chilli chicken. it's very similar to sylheti which is another dish on my wish list (difference being to add in bhuna).

its a red coloured dish containing chopped onion and a little green pepper plus a few pieces on tomato. it has a heavy ish garlic taste.

i've not been able to get this dish as good as i'd like and very interested in what others can add.

this is how i have it:

i like it with both the zaal garlic and adding pre fried slithers just at the end. tikka is best with this dish.

Thanks guys for the replies.
Tonight we are having TA, i normally have it delivered (because if free) but today i will go and pick it up.
I will go for it because it's an open kitchen and you watch it being made, so i will be watching and video'in my South Indian Garlic lamb being cooked.
I think we should get to make a good clone from it. ;)

on the menu it's South Indian Garlic and you just say what meat you want.

menu bodes very well for top notch curry. loved mulling over it.

the description sounds essentially same: "tikka cooked with fresh garlic with capsicums and fresh coriander"

looking forward to some ideas to try out on improving "getting it right" this dish.

you're very luck having such a setup to hand - the best open kitchen i've seen. i could stand there all night.

the recipe will be god send as you can't really follow the video.

impressive how they move the pans along like a conveyor belt - suppose it make sense in terms of getting the dishes out.

ps i get those flare up's quite often - they are actually a real pain.
