Easy and fast currys
« on: October 07, 2013, 12:23 PM »
Anyone got any easy curry recipes using paste, jars, mixes. Sometimes I need a great curry but without too much effort? I like a bit of heat madras level ish.

This is a BIR forum so pastes, and jars are frowned upon  ;D

I've never had much success using pastes (other than Patak's Kashmiri masala, by which I swear) but I have certainly produced a very acceptable basic chicken curry using little more than a standard base and curry powder.  I will try to find the recipe and add it to this message.

OK, here it is, and this is an enhanced version that aims at replicating BIR Chicken Madras.

I have made a base and used it on Monday and Tuesday with Pataks Kashmiri paste. Produced a great curry. Would like to perfect a simple pathia to keep the wife happy...
