Fair comment LC - that's how I read it.

Go and sit on the naughty step SS, until further notice :)

Lol, many thanks Chewy! Yep I missed that one! Mango paste is used in some BIR Balti cooking to achive the sweet fruity undertone.
I have also seen it used in Balti paste.

Chewy what is a Moja? I have never heard of this before?
Thanks.

Near forgot,  I add lemon to my paste as a preservative mainly if keeping fresh. But also coz the three combine so well together it saves me time.

Sorry to rain on your parade SS but you really must read the recipe b4 you comment ;)

Yup

you said:

"1 tsp of coriander and chilli paste. I use 1 large bunch of coriander, blend with 4 green Asian finger chillies and 4 tbls of lemon juice. Not the stalks save these for base cooking."

And right enough I didn't read it properly.

But any lemon in any bhuna...really?

Hi SS this is just my opinion or the way I cook a Bhuna, you don't need to add lemon or the corriander paste if it's not to your taste.
It makes just like standard Bhuna without the added paste ;) that's prob what your after I guess ?

That's why the tittle reads littlechilie's Bhuna as it's my representation of the classic dish, hope this helps so just leave out the added paste and you will be were your comfort zone is regarding taste.

Just add fresh chopped green chillies and fresh coriander in place ;)

Thanks for interest and happy day ;D
