Do you make your own beer?
« on: November 29, 2006, 06:30 PM »
Nothing better than a pint with your Madras, I have posted this website on this homebrew site that I use, try it, homebrew is not like 15 years ago the kits are from real ale micro breweries and are better than 90% of beer you buy.

i have started making my own brew again after 10 years, the kits today are superb and if you go for a quality kit the beer is excellent, works out at about 45 pence a pint and does not give you a hangover like so many commercial brews.

Hi Bumtrouble, Quite a few years ago I tried brewing my own beer {a company called Tynesider Ales or something like that } anyway I used to get great satisfaction from brewing my own, But when my children came along I just seemed to lose interest, Maybe I might try again sometime.

I had a go at making homebrew myself a few years ago also tried cider so wouldn't mind knowing how much these kits have improved.

Iused to home brew many years ago, I always found cider to be the easiest to produce a decent pint with lager being the hardest

Hmm, I used to brew my own beer and never got it right so switched to wine.  I might also give home brew a go again if it has improved that much.  Thanks

I'm with Chilli Prawn on this one.

Hey BumTrouble - Can you recommend with a link the best all malt kit you have used then.  ;)

Hi fellow boozers, this should sort you out. Check out www.art-of-brewing.co.uk. These specialise in all forms of home brewing and appear to be reasonably priced too. Cheer's Paul
