I've got new jars
Like NAGA said, the same marinade with a new label. Smooth and well processed.
BIR standard ingredient for over 30 years, Pataks are not going to change their recipe!
The catering jars are exactly the same product, but tend to have a good layer of oil on top.

I top up most of my marinade paste jars with veg oil, if they go too dry. (especially Kashmiri)

Crown Farms is a good Take Away brand and similar to Pataks plus cheaper.

Laziza is good, spicy and strong, but isn't processed enough, gritty and full of ginger fibre hairs
Tandoori with hairs on it, not customer friendly. lol

Further to my thread and previous of2014',local store say they haven't received delivery oftandoori paste again, and assume they are not now available. They suggested Laziza or use tandoori masala powder mixed with yogurt and ginger paste with a little oil. Will give it a try!!

Pataks are not going to change their recipe!

They've changed their lime pickle recipe three times in as many decades so I don't think you can assume the tandoori paste will be the same as it ever was.
