Best Beer?
« on: October 22, 2005, 02:24 PM »
I enjoy a beer with my curry but would welcome your opininons on the best beer to go with a curry. I like Kingfisher as it is not too gassy but appreciate that Cobra is a strong contender as well! Are there some i have missed?
your opinions, as always, are extremely welcome!

thanks

I have to say Kingfisher works the best with a Curry.  I have gone off Cobra as i find it to heavy, Kingfisher is much lighter.

Just my 2pence.

PS, if you find an off license that sells Thai Beer, I can highly recommend either Chang or Singha Beer.

Sorry to disappoint but i don't drink much alcohol ,so its a couple pints of Pepsi for me with a Tindalloo or Vindalloo, i find it clears off the Pallet so you just keep getting the Spicy warmth throughout the whole meal mmmmmm !!!  :D
DARTH..." mines a flagon of Pepsi..on the rocks,slice of Lemon & in a straight Glass " !! PHALL.  ;D

Hi all,

I love a beer as much as anyone but it's ice cold milk every time with any curry.

Cheers,

Watch out for King Cobra when it comes on sale. It's going to be bottle-conditioned in Belgium, and a lot stronger than normal Cobra, too. I gather it will be packaged in champagne-type bottles, so I don't expect it to be cheap. Can't wait to try one with a curry, though!

Cheers

Sorry, but "beer" is too vague ...

What I mean is that Ale is wrong, Bitter is wrong, Stout is wrong but Lager is perfect.

Carlsberg is more perfect than anything else.

For a beer for people who don't drink beer try Lindemans Framboise ...

http://www.lindemans.be/html-uk/UKgeschiedenis.html

... the ladies LOVE it and it's often rated as one of the top fives drinks on the planet.? It's a wonderful drink.

:-)
