Title: Tinned mushrooms for bhaji

Are tinned mushrooms any good for making mushroom bhaji.

london I've always made mushroom bhaji with fresh mushrooms, at a quid a packet I don't see why tinned ones would be an option.

You're probably right it's just I bought a load of tinned mushrooms cheap, they work great with a fry up.

Hmm, that's what the chef who prepares our monthly village breakfast thought; I am afraid that the majority of us did not agree, particularly as we were well able to recall how delightful the flavour and texture of the field mushrooms had been the previous month ...

I use fresh. But for BIR authenticity tinned is, I believe, the norm. Big tins.
