Title: protein diet

Just back from major surgery on Friday 26th,had a Dilshad T/A which was lovely,but what I'm looking for is recommendations for curries to do,not too strenuous but protein filled.Have started with poha(thanks DP) my other half is great,but want to try and do them myself.Cheers Geoffbrick

Sorry to learn about the surgery, Geoff, and hope very much that it was completely successful.  As to protein, I must leave that to others to advise.

Thanks for your good wishes,guys.Apparently was on the table for well over 3  1/2 hrs.In Mon out Fri.Out on lawn listening to tennis.Then quick rush to loo(kidney op)Consultant says op went well.

Hi

I would err towards vegetarian dishes at first, beans,chickpeas and lentils etc in dhals which have plenty of protein and these are more forgiving on the body and require less acid to digest than meat and have more fibre in to keep the body functioning correctly.

Just my opnion

       Thanks for your,suggestions I must admit I was thinking along the same lines.Used to think pulses,chickpeas and lentils were a bit bland,but looking at recipes,there is plenty of variety to go at.
