Not one of my strong points chopping onions I'm making a batch of base sauce today I purchased this handy gadget last year I've found it ideal for chopping larger batches of onions it's called a nicer dicer and its a good strong and very sharp easy to use piece of kit.

HI Bob,your "nicer dicer" looks a good bit of gear, tend to hold my onions with a fork to give me a better chance.Where do you get them from?
Cheers Geoffbrick

Hi Geoff the original one is made by JML however you may come across some fake copy's!
If you look on eBay you will find loads forsale or try john Lewis or house of Fraser
Regard Bob.

Bob the onions in your photo are already sliced just fine for base ! Why would you chop them up in to small pieces? Twice the work, and the cost of your chopper :(
-
Hi LC i just prefer to chop them to that size and i find that it's a perfect size for general frying of onion
In other curries! I also use the chopper for other things ie chopping veg for stews etc! however the wife shares
Your view but this gadget is a waste of money and she's really fast at chopping stuff up small if need be
She could probably chop them before I got the dicer out of the cubard LOL
Bob.
