Lovely, healthy plants, Andy! Time I was sowing again. I overwintered 6 plants from last year, but I have my doubts about their viability for this year - they resemble dry sticks at the mo! Fingers crossed!

I've seen sticks come alive before. Give the stem a little gentle scratch with your fingernail down close to the dirt. If it's green under the surface you may well have viable plants. Patch it with a paste of Turmeric and water if it looks alive. If the stem is dry and hard it may have gone to meet its maker.

Thanks for the advice, livo. And good luck with the op - you'll be up and about in no time at all!

The stems on my three naga plants were green, the little nodes looked kind of vacant, i had a look at the roots which were brown instead of whitish and not very strong so I will go again this year.
I am detemined to successfully overwinter the plants even though ive heard Dorset Naga's can be fussy.
