Wow! Not a little effort went into that construction, but bucketloads of ingenuity and skill!

Reminds me a little of my trusty Swiss Army Volcano Cooker that I use for the fishing.

Cleary, not on the same scale, but similar functionality.

Thanks for posting!

A brilliant and inspiring video, made by someone who is not only a skilled metal-worker but who also possess (and wears) the necessary and appropriate safety gear for each phase of the operation, but why oh why that mind-numbing background "muzak" rather than a helpful and informative voice-over narration ?

Three comments:
1. Given the high heat output, it's probably necessary to add more wood every few minutes so it could be inconvenient, even for cooking a single dish,
2. I liked the music, especially the first track.
3..The video was well made and self-explanatory, A commentary would have added very little.

Musical taste is a very personal matter, but what (if anything) did you feel that the music added to the video, and what (if anything) would you consider its relevance ?

Phil - you make it sound like an examination question and, I;m sorry, but academic discussions no longer interest me,

I thought the film was well made, having the music as a narrative reminded me of the television transmission colour test film "Home Made Car", the only thing i picked up was after all that good engineering the wok had not been properly seasoned.  :)

Great video, thanks for sharing. Haven't been so hooked since I spent 40 mins watching some guy woodworking with chisels.  :)

@ Phil, I also liked it that he used proper safety gear. Probably the reason he has reached retirement in such good health :)

Hi George thanks for the response. Despite being labelled as a wood fired burner I could see it being fired with another heat source such as coal/charcoal. Greatly extending its capabilities and uses between replenishment.
