Cut a couple of bits of channeling to keep the tikka off the grill, cheap and cheerful

Not sure if it is galvanised?

Recently I was going to use some old galvanised fence posts in a fire set-up but then read something about it releasing toxic zinc fumes. That said, I’m sure I have seen galvanised bbq buckets....

Anyway I’m no expert on the subject but wanted to mention it just in case.

Welding gal steel can cause metal sickness if zinc oxide is inhaled.  It is observed as a white powdery substance and is the same compound used in zinc cream sunblock. I'm not sure if you'd experience it with that setup. Maybe. It would depend on how hot it gets.

Like the little decorative skewers,, Ive been served the same in Turkish restaurants.
you could get a proper grilling rack to use, for about a fiver (food grade metal)
Love the way middle eastern people say KaBOB :D

Got them off eBay JD Europe, the first lot was £8 for 6 ( bargain ) then £29 for 12, they are nicely made though, and wide enough to stop the chicken spinning, and thick enough to not bend.

Livo its 200 deg c i believe, so i will find something else to utilise.
