Just wondering is it just me or does anyone else look to spice up a normal meal to satisfy the need for a chilli "fix"
-
I add chilli oil to many things Oriental, and fresh green (or red) chillies to soya sauce, but apart from chilli con carne I can't think of any western dishes to which I add chilli ...

Not normally, Micky, but sometimes get a wee bit of cheese and put a wee bit of chilli sauce on it. Just for a quick hit.
I may be sad but Hey! :owsome:

I know what you mean... and whilst I haven't added it to my breakfast cereal yet, I have found that for lunch I am choosing to have pasta (with chillies) or pizza (with lots of chillies), Nachos covered in chillies, Hot Salsa (more chillies) and cheese or just cheese on toast... with chillies and a dash of Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. I have some popular Chocolate wafer mints for general use but also some 85% Dark Chocolate (hidden away) and out on display (nobody else will eat it), a popular confectioner's Dark Chocolate with Chilli.
Other than that and the occasional curries, chilli con carne or burritos, I can't really say I have noticed if I am honest.

You are definitely NOT alone, mickyp! I haven't yet put chilli in my porridge, but never say never! :)

Lol, that would class as having a habit. :owsome:
Thanks Guys, glad its not only me...

I eat chillies of some shape or form with just about everything, love them, bacon eggs and superhot sauce for breakfast is amazing.

When I was in Mexico at an all inclusive you could pick stuff to be chucked into an omelet, finely chopped jalape

I used to be a chilli freak, not as much nowadays though. My favourite non-curry chilli fix used to be Geeta's chilli pickle slathered wantonly on an extra-mature cheddar cheese sandwich. Don't see any Geeta's chilli around now though.
When I moved up to London for the first time I stayed in a hostel for a short while and there was a Korean lad there who literally wouldn't eat anything unless there was a liberal dose of bottled chilli-sauce liberally sprinkled on it. Cornflakes with chilli sauce anyone? Oh yes he did!

Tho' come to think of it, I can eat kimchee at any time without hesitation ...

Now that was one tasty hot chilli pickle Santa. Far superior to Pataks. Made a nice change from Mr Naga. Funnily enough, other than curry, the only thing i need to add chilli to Chinese curry.or more essential on a dirty donner kebab. At a minimum it has to have a few teaspoons of Ali's "naga" (or more correctly scotch bonnet) sauce. Other than the above, it isn't me :smiling eyes:

Yep, I make my own and basically just scoff it as is rather than eat it with something else, although again it does go nicely on a cheese sandwich. Love it. Managed to get a couple of Chinese leaf from Morrisons so I can make some more. Gotta wait till 18th April for delivery though!

...snacking occasionally on pork scratchings and added too much weight from nuts...
So the pork scratchings were the Weight Watchers variety then eh? :clown2:

Yes I was sad to see it disappear from my local suppliers. And talking of Pataks I still rate their lime pickle but recently I've been buying Lazzat lime pickle and mango pickle from my local Morrisons. They're only
