I now use a 45kw gas burner and having high heat output has changed my results for the better (I got it mostly for Chinese cooking but clearly it works well for Indian curries too).
We recently bought an LPG wok burner (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332813108636), but having done some research I begin to wonder whether it is really 40kW as claimed or 40kBThU (closer to 13kW). It would be interesting to know if yours and ours are similar. Picture attached.

Phil,
Sorry I got my numbers wrong that is the same burner as mine...40kw. It's a beast!

Unfortunately I don't yet have a high-pressure LPG cylinder and regulator from which to run it, and it's rather unimpressive when run from my low-pressure setup, so I have still to experience the real pleasures of 40kw Chinese cookery ...

Although I haven't got a wok burner I do use an adjustable High Pressure regulator and this one from wickes is great. Left hand threaded for regular Propane bottles

The old 100 pounder Phil. You can move them around pretty easily. Tip it on edge and roll to wherever you want it. I wouldn't recommend trying to lift it but they're not hard to roll around.
Mind you, I'm a bit silly and have been known to carry refrigerators.

In my youth, maybe. At 73, I prefer to keep my spine in one piece ...

How about a Miele washing machine ?!

Not sure about a Miele, but a Samsung, LG or Simpson up to about the 8 kg model is not a problem. Not much weight in these. You'd be surprised what a single person can get onto the back of a Holden ute when it's really necessary. Old age and treachery, as they say, will defeat youth and enthusiasm. I wish I had both.

A Miele comes in at about 105kg ...

Miele.... I would never have anything else 20 years + out of each washing machine
