Title: Hi......
Post by: lovethestepin on June 23, 2007, 05:33 PM
Hi folks,

Looking forward to trying some of the recipes on here (Darth's base looks like a good one to try first, can it be scaled down i.e. by half?) but will have to spend some time looking through the vast amounts of info. Hopefully I will be able to post my results in the near future. I have devised a great savoury pilau so will hopefully get round to posting that as well.

Hi and a big welcome to curry heaven, I personally would not advise scaling down but thats just my opinion. It does make a fare few portions for your freezer. Hope it goes well.  ;D

I started off with Darths base, and I wouldnt advise scaling it down either.  I am on my second batch already as it really does make a nice curry.  You will need two large pots though to fit it all in!

First attempt in the pictures section....

I did scale Darth's recipe down and it seemed to work ok.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Welcome to cr0 LTS  :D

Spencerman/Mike,

Out of interest, would you mind sharing with us why you would not advise scaling it down?  I know that, as it stands, there will lots left over for freezing and, I admit, I also tend to make large batches at a time and freeze it.

Nevertheless, I'd be pretty sure that it can be scaled down successfully, as LTS seems to have found?
