Title: Anarkali, Ashoka South Side & Mother India's Cafe - Glasgow

Here my favorite BIRs in Glasgow that definately still have the taste and produce top quality food every time - after many many years too.

1. Anarkali - Victoria Road (next to entrance to Queens park)
2. Ashoka South Side - Clarkston
3. Mother India's Cafe - West End.

And in Blackpool...

Terry's Balti - Near North pier. Note the starters are a bit strange though.

I know its all relative and based on opinion, but I cant stand the Ashoka group of restaurants in Glasgow. I had a nice meal in the Anarkali, and for a long time the Alishan on Battlefield Rd (near Hampden Park) has been a firm favourite, though even its standards seem to have dipped recently.

Not a fan of the Ashoka/Harlequin chain to be honest. Mr Singhs in particular is pretty horrible imho.

Mother India's Cafe is indeed amazing, as is Mother India. I also love The Wee Curry Shop by the same owners on Byres Road.
