I got a video showing the preparation of the curry gravy
I've written it down
Here it is:-
Base Sauce
2 ? lbs onions
1 bulb garlic
1 desertspoon salt
2 oz fresh ginger
2 tablespoon veg oil
2 ? pints water
Chop onions
Blend ginger and garlic with ? cup of the water
Put it all in a pot with the oil, salt and rest of the water
Bring to the boil then simmer for 40 minutes with the lid on
Stir occasionally
When cooled, blend
Take 2 cups aside for precooking chicken
1 small tin tomatoes blended
1 cup of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 desert spoon paprika
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 desertspoon garam masala
Put the blended tomatoes, oil, turmeric and tomato puree into a pan and bring to the boil
Add the pepper, paprika and garam masala, simmer 20 minutes
Remove any froth

Sounds like the recipe from the curry secret
-

Me Tooooooo:-)))))

Actually this recipe is from The Balti Kitchen Video.
I bought all three of them
The first one is alright
The second and third repeat a lot and don't tell you what you really want.
I tried inputting my video to my computer to make a dvd out of them but I think I have insufficient RAM.
The sound kept going out of sync with the picture
Apart from the curry gravy there is little else worth knowing
I bought mine from Amazon about three months ago
I DON'T recommend them but they are interesting

Hi Pete,
I'd like to see the video also if it is at all possible to post it,
Cheers Pete,
Blondie

I don't have the software to turn it to a small file
I did try transferring it onto a dvd but the sound went out of sync with the picture
The kitchen scenes are very sterile
Nothing like a restaurant or takeaway.
More like a Saturday morning cooking programme.
You don't get a closer result than what we already have

Pete - capturing analogue video to a PC is more trouble than it's worth in my experience. I've given up in favour of a standalone DVD recorder for the lounge, which only cost a bit over ?100. It makes a brilliant job of copying VHS tapes. The resultant DVD could then be manipulated on a PC down to a smaller file size.

Thanks George
When my dvd player gives up I'll replace it with one that writes as well
