Hi, i was wondering if any one could help me, i have a recipe that calls for 1 tbsp of Tamarind Concentrate, i have a jar of this, this is the exact one i have.
Does this stuff need to be diluted with water or do i use it straight, ive never used it before and read on the internet that it is diluted sometimes, the recipe dosent say it just simply says use 1 tbsp.
Any help much appreciated, thanks guys 8)

Hi Skaze,
It seems to me that your recipe calls for 1 tbsp of that stuff then (undiluted)
If it's really thick, you can disperse it in a little water, prior to adding it to your dish, to help it disperse more readily.

Even though the recipe advises tamerind concentrate i would avoid it if possible as it is far to strong. use tamerind paste which is brown. The flavor is much better and does not dominate so much. You will need more paste than concentrate though. Probably double the amount.
