Hi Aruba
In the BIR's I know, they start a plain chicken curry the same way as they cook many dishes.
Heat a chefs spoon of oil, add a little G&G paste, mixed powder, chilli powder, salt, precooked chicken,
curry base and a pinch of chopped coriander,. Cook this for 4-5 minutes and enjoy.
Have a look at my madras video to get the idea:

cheers Chewy

there are lots of different views and expectations on this dish.

what i make is in this post http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=4076.0 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=4076.0)

tend to have it as starter or with biryani.

please note it's not the veg type of plain curry.
