hi All,
Im brand new here.
I love food, cooking and wine.
I have been cooking for a long time at home producing some nice dishes.
My friend and I are always talking curry etc. (He is a member here also).
He told me about this place so i decided to try cooking some indian food.
100% aware of the complex task at hand.
So off i went to the local Asian store and bought everything I will need, thanks to Ewens shopping list.
Then joined here :)
So saturday comes. Perfect day to make a base sauce :)
Started off Fairly early and it turned out great... for a base sauce anyway. No disasters, all went well.
Oh by the way, i bought Chicken, Lamb and beef in the butchers on thursday and had it marinating since thursday night.
After much thought on what would be my debut curry I decided on Garlic and Chili Chicken.
I found a recipe here for one person. I adapted it a bit for 2. But the recipe had 10 WHOLE GREEN CHILI'S!!!! FOR ONE PERSON!!!! crrrrazy!
I made it with 5 chilis for 2.
The final result - EXCELLENT!!! The girlfriend said restaurant and i had to agree. If i paid for it i would be very happy and would be returning! I couldnt believe it. I had actually made something from complete scratch and it tasted really nice! Very hot but a nice hot. Poor girlfriend was in tears by the end of it haha :)
I'll upload pics here as soon as i find the place.
Korma tonight I think before she kills me in my sleep :/
Anyway - Nice to 'meet' you all.
