If it will be truly free for all to download then i would say go for it, personally i don't have many recipes on here and wouldn't mind them being used. If on the other hand there was any money changing hands i would say no.

Yes its pressure fried, like a pressure cooker crossed with a deep fat fryer, no you shouldn't try and use your normal pressure cooker filled with oil, you will die. horribly. :D
Happy new year everybody btw.

Hi Abdul, i bought your book too, personally i love it and have been using it for the last six months or more, i don't feel any need to try other recipes, your's are perfect for our house, and my family think i'm some kind of Gordon Oliver of the curry world because of the meals i have cooked from your book. I havn't received an email about an enhanced base sauce, although thats probably my fault, i have too many email addies, don't worry about it, i'm happy, so if you are busy, just put it on the back burner till you get a chance.
And as for negative comments, take them with a pinch of salt, unless its from somebody who has not bought the book, for them i would say "You get what you pay for in this life".
Merry bloody Christmas to all :-D

The way it reads then is to use your usual mix powder AND add East end to it?

So are you saying to replace a spice mix curry powder, such as rajah madras, with eastern star curry powder? or is there a new spice mix recipe to go with the eastern star powder?

Talk About Anything Other Than Curry / Re: Zip fasteners
« on: November 07, 2011, 06:59 PM »
Blimey Phil you must be psychic, funny you should mention this but, and i am being honest here, it just so happens that today, my fly zip busted on my camouflaged shorts!! Also, now here's the one that gets me, the missus has only gone and trapped the inside bit of fabric of her coat zipper in  said zip!! If it wasn't for my quick thinking and super-human almost ninja like speed, helped by my busted zippered camouflaged shorts that allowed for quick strides and a bonus bit of air-flow around the old nether regions, gawd knows what could have happened!! :-\
Luckily a quick, sharp downward tug and she could breath freely again, and the day was saved.
The missus is now curled up with her hot water bottle, on the couch, carrying on as if nothing happened.
Unfortunately, my poor camouflage shorts zipper has, i'm afraid to say, bought it :( but its ok :) you see i, being a resourcefull kind of bloke, and using my finely honed  lack of any dress sense or moral scruples whatsoever, have put on my long johns, thus, my lack of any zipper is not causing the missus any sickness or desire to hit me, which is always a good thing!, yet also allows me to still wear my favourite camouflaged shorts :D
As for an answer to your question, i am sorry mate, this is a question that has eluded me all of my life :(

Best of luck to you with the Champix PaulP i'm on them too, they're brilliant those little pills, make you feel a bit bloated at night but other than that excellent, Eating before taking the night time jobby helps with the farting, talking of which there's been a load of gas in this thread.
I wonder if spicyokooko is Kd's publisher?
Its fine to have an oppinion and state it, but i think there's a line between interesting conversation and just fecking boring :)
I bought The new curry secret, its on my bookshelf covered in curry stains, i followed the recipes to the letter, i think her naan bread recipe is ok for a beginner, but none of its bir standard imo. You get better results with some of the cr0 users recipes, or Dipuraja, god bless his sole, The Authentic Balti Cookbook ABC, is excellent and much better value for money, as stated imo.
I honestly can't see me opening Kd's book agaqin since i started coming here, but then again that's my opinion. And i am not just bashing Kd's book, there's a shelf covered in them here that are as far from bir fair as hers, its just that this threads about Kd isn't it?
Anyway, excellent thread :).
