Thanks for the welcome everyone.

mickyp - it  is not that I am intolerant of tomatoes just the purine levels in tomato, red meat/game and many fish build up in my body and bring on bouts of gout (must be living to well and possible far to long),

Had dishes containing tomatoes 3 days running this week and now suffering somewhat  :'(

I try to stick to red meat once every 2 weeks and tomatoes once per week.

I was looking through a few other posts and saw mention of Vista Curries. I remember them well. Stuff in a bag that you boil the life out of. Tasted great at the time but had one a year or so ago and what the hell did I see in the stuff. It bore no sort of resemblance to any sort of food, Indian or otherwise.

I suppose my remembering Vista Curry tells you all that I am one of the geriatric guys who trips over his urine bag whilst trying to negotiate the aisles of Waitrose on his Zimmer frame (only OAP's can afford Waitrose I am told).

Love making curries and tend to use Mamta's Kitchen for inspiration (old age and senility hinders me from remembering other websites) and tend to play about with her recipes and get have managed to get several that are as good as restaurant curries if not better.

Always on the lookout for new ideas but due to recent medical problems am not allowed to include tomatoes (my fav ingredient - was) or lentils in my recipes. Also no red meat of any sort.
