Hi Guys...

Noticed when I seem to cook my base that it always seems to turn out to be brown rather than light yellow?  :(    >:(  Could this be due to me adding too much spice and or the can of chopped tomatoes to the base?

It seems some bases like chewy's 1 hour base use minimal spice which obviously when finished would produce a lighter base, would this be correct?

Just noticed this guy has popped up on YouTube 'TheCurryGuy1', sharing some 'apparent' British Indian Restaurant style recipes which should be interesting to watch (and also to see if they mirror anything on here lol)

His base seem's a very unusal orange colour and the thickness of it is unlike anything I've ever seen but each to their own etc...  :)

Give them a watch, see what you think!  :D

Seems Julian has posted a new video tonight on using a shortcut to create takeaway style curries -  ::)

Short cut to a Takeaway style curry

He claims, using this method isn't far off using a base gravy / sauce (Which I would have to try to believe)  ;)

Has anyone else tried this method, if so... what were you findings?  :-\

Cooking Methods / Interesting way of cooking poppadoms
« on: March 20, 2012, 03:26 AM »
Found an amazing new way of cooking poppadoms from this guy on youtube!  :D

How to make a Poppadom Basket

Balancing the poppadom on a shot glass and banging it in the microwave for 1 minute seem's to give a great result!
