Kala Chana Aloo - black chickpea and potato
Mutton Cous Cous Biryani
Piyaju - Lentil Fritters
Aloo Fritter - Potato in gram batter

« on: March 23, 2019, 12:01 AM »
Chewys Tandoori Lamb Chops

Picked up a rack of Lamb (My favourite cut for the Tandoor)
Trimmed it down into Chops/Cutlets, french trimmed Ooh la la. ;D

Marinated overnight, then in the Tandoor for 15 to 20mins.

Nice medium cook, using the look and feel of the meat.

Out and Just hanging about

Finished BIR dish ideas

1. Plated main dish, served with an Aloo Bhorta, crunchy salad and mustard mayo.
Reduced by half is a great starter.

2. Plated main dish, Chops served on a complimenting Rogani sauce

USE this recipe -110% flavour Bomb. The way I was taught and done thirty years ago in BIR.
Lots of shortcuts these days with less ingredients, especially cheaper Take-Aways.

Nice spicy supper tonight.

Balti Uri Murgh or Balti Chicken with green beans

or simply eating veggie curries.
Its green beans at the moment, love them in hot curries
aka this Balti dish. :P

Product Reviews / Tilda LG Rice Bargain
« on: December 17, 2018, 11:15 AM »
I had ran out of long grain rice for Chinese cooking.

By chance when I was in Wilcos getting paint, I went next door
to Herons, a Northern Discount Supermarket and there it was
Tilda long grain, at the knock down price of a quid - 1gbp per 1kg bag
Ive seen this priced elsewhere at up to three times that.

So if your UP NORTH, head to Herons for top quality rice on the cheap.

Shelf life date stamped 10-2020

Perfect for Chinese Take Away dishes. ;)

Went with my Pathia Ama, which I developed a few years ago.
Gorgeous Tikka in an even more gorgeous curry.
Im sure I could here applause as it gently slid into the dish.  :P ;D ;D
