I did the paneer and then used it to make the jalfrezi.  Also made the tamarind chutney. All very good.

These were very nice, better than previous attempts.  Dunno, how you managed to get 20 out of it though.  I got 9 at a push and they were small.

Tandoori and Tikka / Re: Chicken Tikka - better than the BIRs

inviting the folks over for a curry.  done this a few times and they love it.  the stuff i make is in the exact style that we've been used to after 35 years of the same chef in the same restaurant, but better.  never really posted on here that much but i'm doing this recipe as it is in post 1 for the first time.  i'm doing it with lamb and plan on leaving it for 2 days in the fridge then slow cooking before adding it to the 'finally cracked it' bhuna sauce.  i want this one to be amazing. any tips?

Lets Talk Curry / I'm a 'curry wimp'
« on: July 19, 2014, 12:30 AM »
It's true.  I can't take madras, let alone vindaloo, tindaloo, phal or the infamous chicken ring-stinger.  i'm a bhuna man.  dopiaza, masala all fine by me.  i might go crazy with a rogan josh every now and then but it's rare.  however, i LOVE curry.  finding this site has been my ultimate in internet pleasure and that's saying something  ;)  i made my fave bhuna recipe on here tonight.  i usually cook with prawns or quorn but i've recently dabbled with mutton.  first time, amazing curry but mutton a bit tough.  tonight, mutton cooked in newly purchased slow cooker so better, curry too hot.  only difference?  swapping half a teaspoon of mild chilli with 1 kenyan green chilli.  so next time it's back to the mild chilli powder combined with the new slow cooked mutton... happy days for a curry wimp :)
