HI Folks,
Interesting topic, whilst I am in full agreement that a proper!? base is the real answer,I find that time offers some constraints and have to resort to kits in order to get a reasonable curry out in a speedy time(hospital appointments for two, with treatments and physio etc)
Have been using the Spice Tailor kits quite a bit which are more than passable, though on a recent questionnaire I did  I was reaching for the mango chutney more than usual.
Anyway in that vein I'm scratching around in the bottom of the freezer for a stray base or two! Cheers Geoff

Love this idea SR,has anyone tried this base with electric pressure cooker?
Cheers Geoffbrick

Thanks Tempest63'can sympathise. with your problems, just hope there's a solution for you,40 years with Crohns is one helluva time, you've obviously worked your way through it.
As you can appreciate, this is all new to us,which is why I posted my request.Phil's Singapore noodle recipe is very tasty and welcome,as the Vietnamese scrambled egg.I'm sure there must be loads of recipes out there.
Have also done a version of 976bars quinoa recipe which went down well too,but am interested in the book, see what that throws up.Good luck with the Primal diet.

In most Indian shops/supermarkets around the Black Country Midlands they are selling the marinade as the paste because they can't get a relaable supply/delivery.They taste different too.I use the paste, when I can get it as a spread on pork belly draft before putting in the oven to crisp, same thing with the marinade is certainly different.

Thank you Phil, not knowing of your"complaint",now realise that you will fully understand.
We haven't tried SingApore rice noodles or Vietnamese scrambled. egg, something that will have to be added to the regime.cunningly she really enjoyed a small portion of fish and chips!!
A little surprised nobody else has come forward with any suggestions.
Thanks again

Thank you for your trouble Phil, feel I've got things wrong with the word bland.
We saw the oncologist yesterday, who said that anything goes with regard diet,a matter of choice(but little and often to keep things moving)'although he's not a dietician.
From what I can see,"she's" concerned about filling "the bag"up too quickly and getting caught short. It's all new to her,her tastes are many and varied though.

Phil,thanks for your good wishes,appreciated.
With regard skins loosely means potato skins ,stringy beans, broad bean skins, brassicas have to be pretty finely chopped as peppers.Feel she needs taste and variety, she still manages a small amount of my curries too.
Cheers Geoff
