Hey Bhamcurry!

Just wanted to say what a decent recipe that was, I converted the measurements of cups into grams and adjusted the mixture to the correct consistency quite easily.
They went down well at my weekend curry banquet, so thank you!

Just to say I agree, I think its wrong what CA has done and the fact that he deletes or removes any post trying to reason with him.

Good riddance, this forum seems much better and pleasant in my opinion!

Hey guys,

Any chance someone would be kind enough to share a Gulab Jamun recipe?
I've made them once using 'Paulys' recipe from a similar forum before BIRexit and now I can't access the recipe or my review :(

If someone could grab that recipe that would be awesome or I'm up for trying an alternative!

After much research on some of the existing and recommended bases I decided to try Darth's and so far I'm loving it!
It smelt absolutely fantastic and was also incredibly simple to make, the end taste was a neutral base that I believe should go well with any curry. - I will report back on that after the weekend!

I made the following deviations:

  • More or less Halved the recipe (made 2.5 litres which was good enough for my stock pot to handle)
  • Used Rajah Mild Madras curry powder - I didn't want a high level of spice to start with for milder dishes
  • Didn't add any additional chilli powder
  • Used 300ml vegetable oil

Hey guys,

So glad I found this website, most of my 'negative' posts get censored on the BIR forum now so I'm pretty much given up with CA and his bull.
Shame to loose the various reviews and content I've posted on here mind.. but I've got plenty more to offer here.

Long live this forum, seems very vibrant from my first look in.  ;D

Hey guys!

I'm a bit of a refugee from another recently monetised BIR forum...  :(
Hopefully you'll welcome me with open arms, it was only by chance I messaged a fellow member of the old forum that I even knew this forum existed... and it was the best news all month!

So I'm a reasonably seasoned BIR curry cook but I've got a lot left to learn and I'm keen to explore the content of this forum!
