This is a fab restaurant, if you want a more regional style of cooking. Its not traditional CTM for example, but the have some excellent dishes and are award winners. Only down side, its not a cheap night out- 1 starter, 2 curry's, 1 naan, 1 rice and G&T and orange juice set us back ?36, but its worth it for a treat every now and then

Accompaniments (Sauces, Chutneys, Dips, etc) / mint dip

i've tried sooo many versions, ready made and home made and this tastes just like the one from my local restaurant. So simple- plain yoghurt, mint jelly (not sauce), squeeze of lemon juice and some chopped fresh coriander :P

Mmm.... I've just tried it- melted about 2 tblsp ghee and added about 5 cloves of chopped garlic, made sure i didn't burn the garlic. then added a few tblsp base sauce but it didn't mix in very well, so added a bit more.. and more. The end result was quite nice actually- a very garlicky curry sauce, but doesn't resemble anything like the one we've had. :-\
The sauce was almost clear i suppose, but bright yellow. I don't think it maybe uses a base sauce as it has a different consistency to it. Back to the drawing board i think...

British Indian Restaurant Recipe Requests / Mecheusi??

Another one... not sure on the spelling of it, but it's pronounced ME-CHEW-SI. It is a very thin, almost soup like base, fairly hot, and i know it has lots of fresh coriander, but other than that I have no idea what is in it- any help much appreciated!  ;D

Our local restaurant makes this dish as a starter. Its a vibrant yellow colour sauce that is sort of translucent. It is very subtley spiced, no heat as all. I think the chicken may be tikka or tandoori possibly then put in this sauce- it does have lots of chopped up garlic in it. Any ideas where to start?

Hi
I joined the forum last week and used one of the recipes yesterday.... Oh my God! it was like it was straight out of the takeaway! I made chilli chicken masala and pilau rice. I did make some naan breads, but i think they need a little more experimenting with when it comes to coking them. But overall I was so impressed with the results! :P
