I can see where your coming from, Just have to play it by ear till i get it right  ;D

It may not seem like it to you curry chef's ;D

But It is quite daunting to us beginners to get this right, and end up with a decent curry ::)
 I know we learn by mistakes, but edible would be nice ;D

Also is this recipe according to the forum's opinion a versatile base ie:- suitable for ALL styles of curry's from Korma to Vindaloos?

I've only ever made one base, but now your results make me want to try this one,
Question Is this a one serving,?
 If so how would I size it up for say a 4 person meal, don't want to make 4 separate curry's does one.
 ;D

I've used this base, and i think it works quite well with the more robust currys, Madras, Vindaloo, etc,
 But bare in mind this is a Balti base and is a bit more spicer than your normal base,

This Korma looks good Mark, going to give it a go,
 But not expecting it to be right as I've not done one before, nothing ventured, nothing gained as Thea say,
A question if i may,
 where did you get the recipe for the pre-cooked veggies, can't seem to find one. ???

As a new fella just starting to making my own bir/ta currys, I would be interested to see which base you guy's come up with,Only  done one so far, which i was quite pleased with, Using the Bradford base that Admin posted ie:- the Karachi Cafe in Bradford (Rick Stein),
So the best of luck people, Could be a prob with everyone having different taste buds though

I know this thread has been dead for a while, but has anyone found a good spice mix to go with this curry base??? 8)
