Lets Talk Curry / Re: Curry gurus

Gary your Ashoka posts were brilliant and I've never forgotten them but a few who have contributed to this thread became active after they were posted. I think it's a time thing and in no way reflects on the importance of your contribution.

SL, totally agree.

when i first enlisted there was Stephen Lindsay, Curryhell, Razor and Chewytikka who were the prominent posters. probably the reason why I am such a great curry chef now, albeit in my own mind (my friends and family love it tho)...lol.

SP,

thanks for the post.

I usually pre-cook beef (braising beef for a long, slow cook) in some beef stock, enough stock to cover beef, with some cardamom pods, fennel seeds, tomato paste, garam masala, cloves, coriander powder, cumin powder and star anise.

cook this in a pot low and slow for about 3-4 hours or until your desired meat consitency is achieved.

lift out beef with a slotted spoon and wait to cool a wee bit.

cook as normal in your curry (do not stir too much to avoid breaking beef chunks into little pieces)

cheers

Pink Floyd - The Endless River -
ticks all the boxes

best, Rich

awesome. listened to this about 6 times all the way through. better every time.

superb synths, awesome guitar as one would expect and nick masons drumming is first class.

not much singing, which is to be expected, and the album is all the more better for it.

if this is the last Floyd LP then what a way to go out.....in true style

cheers

35 lovely cayenne peppers freshly picked approximately 23.00 gmt 07.11.14.

most of them are about 3 inches long - that's 75mm to you metric people.

unusual for this time of the year for plants still to be producing fruit methinks...

still have loads more flowers on plant. picked these off to give it more energy..

Geo,

you obviously read only the parts that interested you.

what about the potential NEW members who viewed this thread in all its glory and thought....blow this, i ain't joining this pile of hit'n'miss

and also the current members who are fed up with logging in and continually seeing threads like this which devalue the whole ethos of the forum....

Razor...great posts, great attitude, very rarely seen now

Curryhell, same as above...

That is only 2 off the top of my head..

very soon the 2 will be 3, the 3 will be 4,,,etc, etc....

it appears that this great forum could be going to the dogs...and the disruptive dogs know who they are...
no names mentioned...

maybe it is time for some moderation and close this thread before any irreversible harm is done to both potential members and current members who are totally cheesed off with the utter verbal diarrhoea spouted of late.

I have recommended this forum to many a friend and hopefully they can take the good aspects from here and disregard the bitter "fighting"

curry on people..and good night.....
