Yes, like some courgette fritters I once had served by the last remaining inhabitant of an abandoned village overlooking a volcano on one of the Greek islands.  :)

How about a pinch or so of tomato powder added at the end like garam masala?

Tin foil is the worst reflector, it absorbs more than it reflects.
Better off with matt white paint or fork out for some Mylar.

 :)

Curry Web Links / Re: New bir channel

Have you actually tried the Supreme brand? Would you recommend them? There's several brands on eBay and Amazon but no way of knowing how good they are.

I bought two packets in Blackburn last year, only recently opened the 2nd. Never noticed a loss of flavour.
I did take a photo of my own packet but its been so long since I posted a pic that I'd forgotten the original cro link that I used to use.  ::)

P.s. maybe worth asking the best before date if purchasing online.

There was a TV programme a few years back where a girls curry was selected by a supermarket panel to be sold in the shops.
They tampered with it so much that by the end of the process was unrecognisable to her original recipe.
You could see in her eyes at the final tasting that she didnt care anymore and was thinking "F*** it, just do what you want!

I imagine the restaurant has to follow similar guidelines and regulations.  ::)

Talk About Anything Other Than Curry / Re: Traditional wet shaving
« on: December 02, 2018, 09:28 PM »
I only use a blade for 2 shaves so 7p per shave I could get more shaves from a blade but for the price I always have a nice sharp blade.
London.

I tried having a shave with my old mans razor when I was about 17.
Man that hurt!
God knows how many shaves he'd get out of one blade.  ::)

Does anyone else wet shave with a double edge razor, using a proper shaving brush and shaving soap

London.

Not for years. I have a goatee and just use the beard trimmer without the head for the rest of the face.
But when I do shave with a razor, I still use my grandads Gillette razor with a double edge blade, a stick of Palmolive and a brush.  ;)
I remember once in my 20's finding an unused and wrapped Gillette blue blade in an old bathroom cabinet in a rented flat.
It was the smoothest and closest shave I've ever had!
Better than Wilkinson.

Breads (Naan, Puri, Chapatti, Paratha, etc) / Re: Chapati v Naans

they're like having your pudding with your dinner!

I was doing this as a teenager without realising its common in certain parts of the world.
I would buy some dal or chana, a dal puri and a couple of ladoo's and eat them all together.  :D
Delicious!

Similar to kalles kaviar and boiled egg sandwiches/rolls.  :)
Always used to make up a couple for the road from the buffet breakfast when touring in Scandinavia.  ;)
