Exactly right Garp, and I, as an internet forum poster, am not suggesting anybody just go out and do this without proper medical guidance and due diligence, as is the case with the personal friend I mention.  I do mention that he is under a doctors care in relation to this eating program.
Upon his doctors advice,

I should think that this "diet" will not be sustained over any prolonged period either.  Once the weight is gone it would most likely be more appropriate to return to a more healthy balanced diet, albeit not necessarily without fats.

The point I try to make is that "fats" are not necessarily bad for you.  There is also a wide variability in how individuals react to the consumption of fats, or anything for that matter.  What is good for one may not be for another.

They must be big crinkle cut chips.  That little burger only has 2 bites out of it and it's nearly gone.  I'll have to show you a picture of the Wamby Whopper.

Well, you would at least hope that the spam-bots could make their entrance posts at least a little bit amusing.

What is the deal with the recent multiple appearances of new members who make a couple of absolutely nonsensical posts and then disappear?   :o :o The nature and wording of the last 3 or 4 in about a month would suggest it's the same person, but I don't understand the point they are trying to make at all.

I have never seen this before on any forum I have subscribed to using. Very unusual.

Not sure about over there but I can buy kaffir lime leaves preserved in a small jar of clear liquid.

Yes you can. Exactly what I have in the fridge.

I did a delicious Pork Loin roast just 3 days ago with a box cutter.  Single sided razor with a reinforced back edge of the type that goes into the grocery store metal retractable box cutter. Sometimes used in glass scrapers as well. In the actual box cutter the blade only protrudes far enough to cut through cardboard cartons (supposedly) ;).

The cuts were fine and I rubbed the salt but I still had to remove the skin towards the end and give it extra oven time while I rested the meat.  Worth the effort though.

I've been using a bit of Atta flour in my most recent naan attempts and my wife commented that the last batch were the best I've done at 25/75 %.  I just found that the Maida flour versions lacked flavour.  I felt that the last lot I made was closer to the missing flavour I experience in the T/A or restaurant version.  I have some dough in the fridge that is 50/50 flour ready to cook today.

Also, I'm currently trying this out this time round.  I was going through all my old paper recipes last week to try and sort out what was what and I came across some pages that had been photocopied from an Indian Cookery book of unknown name. I think my wife must have done them many years ago as they have notes written on the pages that are not in my own hand and I don't recall ever seeing them before. They could go back quite a way, but I'm not sure.

On page 186 there is a recipe for Roasted Unleavened Bread (Chappati) and Leavened Bread (Naan) which is not dissimilar to others I've seen but here it is anyway.

Leavened Bread (Naan)
Makes 6-8
Ingredients
2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
4 Tbsp Warm Milk
2 tsp Caster sugar
450g plain flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
150 ml milk
150 ml natural yogurt
1 beaten egg
25g melted ghee.
Chopped Coriander and onion seed to sprinkle.

Usual bread process of proving yeast in warm milk with sugar, followed by
mixing, kneading, rising, forming and baking.

Incidentally the recipe says to knead the dough well and they are oven baked at 200'C.

Naan is a mission and I agree with you in that I've been not satisfied with some of the more popular versions.

Yes Les, I agree that his method would push the juices out.  The old Ray and Lizzie technique was just quick and done.  Drop the ball on the grill, two spatulas to flatten it then leave it.  I can't find the original video I watched years ago but here is one that is similar in content although difficult to listen to.  Americans are passionate about burgers.

This one from the "Your doing it all wrong" series is interesting as well.

That's a good looking spread there Loveitspicy.

Cooked my CBM Tikka burger patties this afternoon. I made 3 huge burger sized patties and there was enough left for me to have a sampler before dinner.  They are a real winner for mine.  I'll be eating them for dinner tonight and other nights for sure.

I also think there is endless variation of these things. Great idea. Thanks for the inspiration CBM.

Another one?? or maybe the same one again.

Exactly right Sverige. Eating a high fat diet and avoiding carbs actually prevents hunger feelings or cravings for carbs.  Carbohydrates actually make you feel hungry even when you aren't. They are an addiction.
