Hi Fried. I started with a Curry2Go recipe but changed it slightly by adding Pataks Chilli pickle and a squirt of Ketchup. I've also changed the balance of spices slightly. It works well for me and gives that lovely lip tingling sensation. Oh and I use precooked tikka instead of normal chicken. Glad you liked the photos.

This was dinner tonight and there is some left for breakfast. Roll on tomorrow! I think this was my best Vindaloo yet.

Thanks. I think I got the name wrong, it's meant to be Sambar, which I used to get in my local T/A. but it was a mixed Veg Sambar. Very similar to a Dhansak, with lentils but without the sweetness. It was quite tasty and I thought about doing a Samba afterwards but decided against it. I guess being married to a Brazilian it was inevitable I would get the name wrong.

I guess my favorite at the moment is Chicken Tikka Pathia, but I am quite partial to Madras and Vindaloo. In all honesty I have never met a curry that I didn't like. I have posted a photo of some that I cooked recently.

Here is a picture of 4 curries I cooked in one session using the same base and all with chicken tikka, because I love it. Left to right they are Jalfrezi, Samba, Passanda and Korma.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but also to the style of cooking that is discussed here. I have loved curries for years and have made many attempts at cooking something that resembles the curries that can be had in the restaurants and takeaways that I have eaten in. Recently I discovered the methods on YouTube and eventually ended up on this site. I have already had several attempts at making some of the base sauces on this site and other locations and have discovered a whole new way of cooking. Since this time I have been cooking far too many curries and now have a freezer full of them. I look forward to gleaning more information from this site and maybe sharing some of my ideas with everyone.
Cheers
Rob
