The whole health question and benefits of spices are quite interesting, we know too much saturated fat is bad for your body, but relatively little is known about spices and combination of spices.. there is enough spices in your average curry to have some kind effect :) Apart from the toilet humour effect.

I all ways get a double hit from eating curries. The first is the rush of endorphins (hope i spelt that right) which is very good for the body :)
The second effect is feeling healthier and more energy a few days afterwards. Of course curries can contain huge amounts of calories.. but these are usually used up or turned to extra flesh within a relatively short amount of time; so i doubt that had much bearing in the short term.

These spices must be doing something positive, we know chillies and paprika (bell peppers) contain a lot of vitamin C which boosts the immune system,  i would have thought that most of the vitamin C dies through high heat?

Anyway, of course curries arent going to protect you against all illnesses, but it does seem to have a positive effect which may well be revealed in the future??

Im off for some Christmas visiting real soon
So have a nice Christmas folks, see you in the new year

Ashes :)

btw Glad Shane Warne is retiring, give the pommies a chance huh?  ::)

Cory i never realised you'd be the master of hiccups.. but you've enlightened us all  :D
?Guessing id say a large glass of yoghurt would do the trick, it makes sense and could be drunk in the form of lassi although i have no idea how traditional it is.Traditional 3 course meals aren't eaten in India.. so im not sure whether you'd start with a "starter, main course and end with a sugary drink. The point being, that yoghurt tends to calm the digestive system, helps take away that chemical found in chillies which burns so much and gives a heap load of good bacteria to your body which help digest those hard to digest foods which are so nice.

Drinking water and/or holding your breath apparently helps, although i doubt they would have much effect against a really good Phall  :D

Hiccups can be annoying but the price is small.. if you're one of the lucky ones who can take that amount of heat.. :o    me, ill stick with my wimpy heat limit and hopefully avoid the those little frog burps  ;)

Ive eaten a few of my creations that have given me an out of body experience ;)

Once ate a curry at an indian friends house when i wasnt used to it..and even a relatively tiny amount made me feel like id just eaten a mouth full of fire.

I prefer milder curries these days, it should burn but not be unpleasant for too long ;)
