Bhuna / Re: Curry Kings Lamb Bhuna

I made this today using SnS base and it was very very good, my best curry to date.  The wife found it too spicy but for me it was perfect so I ate hers :P.  Next time I will have to put a bit less curry powder in and hopefully she will like it more, she likes korma or slightly spicier strength dishes. maybe I could put some cream in hers after serving mine to tone it down a bit? I don't know, am new to all this, but picking up bits here & there 8)

cheers

Willy

I am a noob and my reason for not posting much is its a whole lot to take in.  As and when I try out the recipes I will and have posted, but to me its a confidence thing, i.e I haven't got a clue what you are talking about with the spices, techniques, reclaiming oil etc ???, it is all new and fascinating to me so I am spending most of my time reading and trying to take it in.  When you were making curries listening to Slade I was eating Vesta currys ;D.  It is a great site and i will be around for years to come.  Each recipe I have tried so far has been fantastic, even with my lack of skills, and a few ingredients which I am still on the look out for.

Cheers

Hi,

What can I say, I cannot cook curries :(
until I tried this, I was stunned how good it was :o
the chicken tikka is superb(I used Blades recipe), much better than my favourite restaurant!
I used a base from a book I have, The Curry Secret by Kris Dhillon (the curries I tried were ok with this, but not a patch on these flavours) that had been in my freezer for months.
thankyou for posting this, I will use it time and time again.

dink dank doo

now what to try next????

Hello!
This site looks great,  some of the recipes sound really nice and I will try many of them over the next few months.  I have not had great success with Indian style food so hope to change this with all your help.

cheers

Will
