Hi from Chris
« on: September 27, 2006, 09:58 PM »
Hi everyone, fantastic site and I've not even had a proper look yet!. I have spent over half of my life looking for 'the' restaurant curry sauce recipe, haven't found it yet - but even if I don't ever find it, it has been a lot of fun trying! :P. I have a curry page on my site with a few of my recipes http://homepage.ntlworld.com/c.mcdonagh1/
I can see me spending a lot of time here!

We have already said Hi Chris, but I would also add my compliments on your website.  One of my best mates at work bought a house in Middleton in the late 60 early 70s.  His back yard was identical to yours.  I guess they are all similar in the old part.

Happy Cooking

Thanks CP,
We have since moved house - the house you see is the first house we bought after we got married. It was a terraced house and I always referred to it as the tardis because (as with many terraced houses) viewed from the outside it looked quite small, but as you ventured inside the place suddenly 'opened up'. The back yard had the high retaining stone wall that you see on the photo. The wall may well have been built before the houses(1904) I'm not sure about that, but I found it a fascinating feature, and it was the wall that gave me the idea to build the patio - a unique backdrop if you like.
Anyway CP, thanks for taking the time to view my site, I'm glad you found something of interest on there!. Do you know where abouts in Middleton your mate bought his house, it would be spooky if it was Boarshaw Road!
