Best BIR Madras recipe?

Hi guys,
I am currently making as we speak the Zaal basic gravy recipe and want to use it in a Madras tonight. Do you have any recipes please?  :)

Thanks so much. I used one tonight that had a video to it by Mike Styme? I had to subsitute some ingredients as I had no Kashmiri powder and had run low on Tumeric but have ordered new supplies off the internet :)

Even with the substitites it was pretty freaking AWESOME!!!! Curry again as soon as the supplies arrive,
Thank you  ;D

Glad to hear you were pleased with your results.  You probably picked one of the most popular recipes among many forum members here: Mick Stynes AKA Chewytikka.  Hardly any negative feedback on this recipe and kashmiri chilli powder is not essential for  a good madras  ;)

I have done another tonight (3rd one in 6 days lol) I made a fresh spice mix (Cory anders mix, missing out the cardomom as I have no powder and it's not my fave) and using Andy Rhodes madras recipe from 13.5 Chicken Madras (CRO, based on 976Bars madras) [9/10].
It was fab! Still a little thick but I think my base is not watery enough. It had the right heat (I could have hotter/ Hubby wanted milder) so a nice compromise and the naans were lovely and garlicy.

I stink!! No more curry till Saturday now as my daughter wonders why I smell only of garlic butter lol  ::)
