Oh and welcome Chris. Its like a remake of the Great Escape at the moment.

Think of this forum a bit like Switzerland was portrayed in the film - a nice, free, safe and neutral place to be (within reason), like if you started swearing in the street in Switzerland, you might get arrested, and bad language is not kindly thought of here, either, as one of very few rules.

...ironically, of course, unlike the average Indian restaurant on a Friday night.

Not sure if this forum had the facilities/infrastructure to cope with such an influx of refugees.

May have to call upon the UN for advice  :(

Thanks for all the welcomes guys. Garp, I've only tried 2 'Indian' Restaurants in Lyon, and wouldn't go back to either. I've recently been told that 'Le Shalimar' (39 Quai Gailleton 69002, Lyon) is good, but not had a chance to try it yet. Will try to do so soon and report back. When are you in Lyon?

MBC  :)

Hi MBG, thanks for that. I think I looked at that one online as it's quite near my hotel so will probably give it a go :D
