Totally agree with CH ;)

Not the kind of thread you would expect to be started by a Forum Moderator
But I suppose we are just used to it.

You get the Dummy vote from me George, as always ;D

I also think your childish BANNED graphic, in your Avatar should be removed
as it will be confusing for new members, thinking the only moderator is banned from this site. ;D ::)

cheers Chewy

I didn't start this thread as a moderator but as a member. I don't see why I should be constrained in what I say here as a long standing member, just because I also keep the forum clean of spam and other filth.

It will be very difficult to come up with a winner as every member will have different views as to what helped them the most. I agree that sp has given great inside info, but I've received a lot of guidance from others as well.
Leave the loser award out.

And this man moderates the forum???????

I do hope that this was posted after excess alcohol consumption. It's about the only thing that could just about excuse that behavior from somebody who is deemed to be in charge of things.

Dear oh dear

If I can offer the perspective of a newcomer, this thread is embarrassing.  But if this has to go ahead, could I nominate myself in the loser category? :)

I agree with CH on page 1 - no need for any of it - just keep banging the pans report back - with some pics and everyone will be happy.

best, Rich

your Avatar should be removed

Done. You are correct that the idea has probably run its course.

I also agree withe Livo and others that I should probably have left out the loser award.

SS is correct to observe that there are many different opinions on this forum, unlike others.

Further, I like Phil's idea of calling it 'contributor of the year', rather than 'pioneer of the year'. Maybe people who have been most critical of the proposal are cheesed-off that they wouldn't stand much chance of winning or perhaps they subscribe to daft education-type policies where everyone should be made to feel they are a winner.
