Maybe people who have been most critical of the proposal are cheesed-off that they wouldn't stand much chance of winning or perhaps they subscribe to daft education-type policies where everyone should be made to feel they are a winner.
Well I thought that response was going so well until the above.
Just had to have another little dig at people on here. ::)

I do hope that this was posted after excess alcohol consumption. It's about the only thing that could just about excuse that behavior from somebody who is deemed to be in charge of things.

I was shocked to read your comment. You seem to be suggesting that excess alcohol consumption is an excuse for behaviour which would otherwise be illegal or, in your opinion, undesirable. I guess it may be a cultural thing, if that explains why you see things differently. Or perhaps you'd been drinking before you wrote your comment. I know I hadn't.

Well in that case George, I truly don't understand your attempts at causing problems. It's OK to nominate a "pioneer of the year" but to then have (yet another dig ) at somebody who cannot defend himself on this forum is ......well, to my way of thinking is very childish, and for a moderator to do such a thing is frankly beyond belief.

I don't know you George, I haven't seen/cooked any of your recipes. I DO know CA, I have cooked most of his recipes and they are pretty good to say the least, so please explain why you think that he should receive the wooden spoon award??? :-*

Hi Mick, in George's defence, CA has caused most people on this forum grief of one kind or other, so I'm not shock to see his name there! Not shocked at all,  I'm just trying to forget I ever had dealings with him and his narcissistic personality.

Mick,
I have also told CA how I feel about him so I'm not making remarks behind his back.

Now back to my Curry agenda  ;D
