JerryM is IMO one of the least offensive members of this forum.  He works and posts tirelessly and shares for the benefit of all who care to read.  I am sure his post was not intentionally meant to insult anybody.

I agree entirely. However had Jerry, instead of making a provocative statement as he did, said something like "I believe he was frightened off by some negative comments on previous occasions", there probably wouldn't be such a fuss being made. It's the incendiary and unnecessary way it was phrased that was the problem.
