Empty vessels
« on: February 17, 2015, 10:01 PM »
Coming from North Of the border,I feel it my duty to give Alex Wilkie a blast, the Ebook looks good,if I can do anything resembling the recipes that will take me back to my homeland for a wee while, thats ok with me.
Having said that,I,m pleased to be part of Curry Recipes and the welcome, now resident in the Midlands.

Alex is a member - bigboaby1. I think he has something like 115 posts which are a real good read.

I gel with what he knows.

I think he has met with some of our empty vessel members and we have all suffered the loss as a result.

The big problem I have is that no mix powder is used which I find difficult to embrace given my baggage (midlands upbringing)

I'm surprised at both of you for serious infringements of the terms and conditions which you agreed to when you joined this generally easy-going forum. I just had a look back at the rules and it seems clear to me that you broke several as follows:

"Terms and Conditions of Membership

3.  You will not post anything which is ...defamatory, hateful...discriminatory,
...harassing, or otherwise personally insulting, offensive, objectionable.

8.  You will not bring this Forum into disrepute by ridiculing it, or its ...Members

9.  You will otherwise do nothing that is harmful to this Forum, compromises the
integrity of this Forum, or otherwise brings this Forum into disrepute

iii. Please refrain from posting simply to increase your number of posts.  Do
not post if you are unable to add value to the thread.  Please remember that the
number of posts bears no relation to a member's cooking experience

v.   Be cordial to all other members and afford them the respect and courtesy
that you would like them to afford to you....personal insults
will not be tolerated"

I'm sure all of know the 'weakest links' as far as we're concerned and it seems likley to vary from member to member and from time to time so isn't it best to keep such 'elitest' opinions to oneself? Many people must be wondering if you mean them.

What point were you trying to make by using such an insulting word (in this context) before I removed it?

You're another one - the rules state that personal insults will not be tolerated.
