Karm Kalah Ki Sabzi vs Zereshk Polow
« on: September 11, 2015, 03:45 PM »
Not posted for a while, busy changing jobs  Still cooking a lot.  Here's a couple of recent efforts.

Chicken tikka

Laziza style. Tester. A bit under-done.

Mixed starter

Odds and ends from the freezer.  Tandoori lamb chop, half a seekh kebab and chicken tikka.

Karm Kalah Ki Sabzi (Cabbage)

Plenty mustard seeds.

Karm Kalah Ki Sabzi and a Sardine

Late supper job

Special lamb curry

Messing about with pre-cooked mutton shoulder, Persian seven-spice and cream.

Zereshk Polow (Persian Rice With Barberries)

Been making a lot of this.  Love it. Barberries briefly heated in butter, saffron water and sugar. Topped with sliced pistachio. Ran out of saffron for the rice part here but have some now and on the cards again for this evening.  Authentic Zereshk Polow is often garnished with chicken.

Rob  :)

Nice to see you posting Rob. Nice looking food as per usual. Missus would be all over that mixed starter...the only starter she knows.  :)
