Tandoori Shaslic Masala dinner

A little Tandoori Hut fun today!
Three chicken breasts, with peppers and onion, given the smokey Tandoor treatment.

Then straight into the waiting curry pan, bosh bosh bosh and served with a fragrant Pilau.

Thanks for the kind words lads. :D

The Tandoori Hut project has come into it own.
Being able to cook on hot coals, no matter what the weather chucks out.

Just simply the best kitchen addition and so much fun with friends and family.

Curry On ;)
cheers Chewy

Looking at that great curry CT has got me wondering.  Are the chicken shashlic masala and the north indian special close relations  ;D They certainly share similar ingredients although the prepping is  a bit different.  I love the look of that curry so much i'm off to the kitchen to rustle up an NIS for myself  :) And then I need to post my chicken patala recipe now i've an evening to myself, providing not too many beers have been consumed  ;D ;D

CH I can only speak from a Scottish perspective. My g/f and I frequent a fantastic restaurant here in Dundee called Cinnamon and we regularly have their Chicken Shaslick. If I was to describe it I would say it is basically Chicken Tikka served on a sizzler dish with peppers and onions. In the plate they serve salad and rice and you get a bowl of sauce (a bit like CTM sauce) on the side. It is a very tasty dish but also very mild and I know you like your curries hot.

Chicken shashlic is very much a sizzler dish like you and CT describe but without sauce when i've seen it down here SL.  But i do wonder if the dish served under the name of CS masala has much in common with the NIS. Just a thought as the NIS is not widely known and may just be an adaptation of the CS masala  :-\  Comments CT?  Anyway, i must go and finish my NIS now and have another beer, hic  ???
